This pasty is inspired by the traditional Cornish Pasty, one of the most iconic regional dishes in Britain. Originating in Cornwall, it was developed in the 18th and 19th centuries as a portable lunch for miners and labourers – with a thick crust that could be held with dirty hands.
Today, “Cornish Pasty” holds Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) status, meaning only pasties made in Cornwall using traditional methods can bear the name.
PUKKA’s version can’t be called “Cornish” – but it captures the same spirit and taste, just as it’s been enjoyed for generations.
