At the end of the 19th century, the brand name "McVitie & Price" was established in England. It was at this time that the famous Digestive recipe was invented and over time McVities became an international company that has been producing biscuits with dedication for over 100 years.
McVities first attempt at mixing biscuits and chocolate led to the Homewheat Chocolate Digestive brand (now known simply as McVitie's Chocolate Digestives) in 1925.
